I wanted to let you know we used some of the MOPH donation to go rappelling in the Edgar Experimental mine that is owned by the School of Mines. The mine is located in Idaho Springs. The money paid for a mine safety expert to supervise our training and provide equipment for us to use. The Cadets had a blast and we plan to do the event again in the fall. I wanted to share some photos with you so at your next meeting you can let the group know their money is going to good use. We are going to use some more of the donation to pay for new rappelling gloves and carabiners.
Thanks for your continued support. I’ll be starting leave in about two weeks and will be gone most of the summer supporting training at Fort Knox. I’ll be checking emails periodically so please let me know if you need anything.
